Adam explained the light was refracting off the ice crystals in the air to form this beautiful prism of color in the sparkling white atmosphere of snow and ice. Rainbows, a symbol of God's promise, still show up even in a atmosphere that is cold and asleep.
You see, God's promises are not dependent on our emotions or behavior, they exist in His everlasting love and covenant to all people who choose Him by faith.
"So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe." Romans 4:16.Sometimes, we find ourselves in a winter season of life, hope and passion seemingly asleep under a blanket of paralyzing frost. And yet, God's promise still stands reflecting the light of His love and presence in the ice crystals of our circumstances. Whether your faith is frozen or hope asleep, the God of Promise wants you to know He is awake and ready to warm you with His reckless and extravagant love.
Do not give in to the temptation that He has forgotten you. For as Peter encouraged, "The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake." 2 Peter 3:9.
Remember the truth!
“Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David. Isaiah 55:3 [emphasis added]Did you catch that? When we listen to God's heart for us, not the message we perceive from our circumstances, we find life. Life in the unfailing love He has promised us.
So today, recall the rainbow of promise in your life and live in the truth that you are loved and His promises never fail.
